Improve Continuously to be Better, Creative Thinker || Farhana Yousufi

Creative Thinking…

A broke businessman owed big amount of money to a loan shark. The lonely, old loan shark had a big interest on the broke businessman’s only daughter. So he came to the businessman with a proposal for a test. The test is-  the man will put two similar looking, small brick pieces in a small bag. A black one and a red one. Then he will ask the daughter to pick one out without looking. If she picks the black one the debt on the businessman will be wiped but the loan-shark would then marry her. If she picks the red one then the debt on the businessman will be wiped but the daughter wouldn’t have to marry him.

The broke businessman had to agree and all of them went to a road covered with brick pieces in front of the whole villagers. The loan shark took two brick pieces from the road and put it in the bag. But the clever daughter noticed him putting two black brick pieces on the road instead of one red and one black.

In this situation, a common person would reveal this cheating in front of the villagers. But the intelligent daughter thought out of the box and did completely different thing. She took out one brick piece and casually dropped it on the road. Since it was mixed up with all the other bricks of the road she requested the villagers to check the remaining brick in the bag. Which would mean she actually picked the other brick.

The brick left in the bag is obviously black, and seeing as the loan-shark didn’t want to be exposed, he had to play along as if the brick the daughter dropped was red, and clear her father’s debt.

Moral: Through out of the box, creative thinking, any tough situation can be overcome. Rather than thinking like a common person, it is always possible to gain something better and something extra by thinking out of the box.

Dear colleagues:

In life whenever we are put in front of any challenges, tough situations; unlike any other common people, we will think out of the box continuously to get improved results. We will continuously improve our thinking capability to handle uncomfortable situations better than ever
