Short Story on Accountability
This is a story about people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody."
There was an important job that needed to be done and everybody was sure that somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but nobody did. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought anybody could do it but nobody realized that everybody would not do it. It ended up that everybody blamed somebody when nobody did what anybody could have done. 
Confused?
When you don’t have well defined and understood
accountabilities (responsibilities) performance suffers. You need to define what associate do and then measure and reward their actions. 
Accountability defined that every associate is responsible for making any task successful. They should clearly understand their responsibilities. They should be evaluated on how they perform them.
After successfully performed their responsibilities, they will deserve reward for whatever they did well.
